Worker’s Day of Mourning – April 28, 2023
The Workers’ Day of Mourning was created by CUPE members more than 40 years ago to remember those who lost their lives on the job and to inspire workers to fight to prevent further tragedies.
CUPE Transfer Process
By now, you should have received the CUPE Transfer Information. This is a great way for permanent CUPE staff to move to a new location, but make sure that it is something you want to do.
Once you submit the paperwork, you are agreeing to be moved to one of your choices without further consultation and you cannot refuse to move.
More information can be found in the Collective Agreement under Article 35. Make sure you read this before submitting any transfer paperwork.
Paperwork needs to be submitted no later than end of day on April 14th and you will receive an answer by end of day on April 28th. You can only transfer within your current classification and you cannot increase your FTE through the transfer process.
Transfer requests should be sent to: hr@ldcsb.ca
Please note – “CUPE Transfer Process” in the subject line.
If you have any further questions, you can send them to the above email or ask myself or Patty.
Seniority List
Just a friendly reminder to check the seniority list and make sure that your seniority date is correct.
This has to be done no later than April 5, 2023. After this date, the list will be deemed correct.
This is especially important if it is your first time appearing on the list.
The list can be found on myldcsb.ca, search for “Cupe Seniority List”
If you have any questions or concerns about your date, please email Nicole Bowman at the board.
