BARGAINING UPDATE – CENTRAL AGREEMENT RATIFIED BY LOCAL 4186

I am pleased to inform you that the Central Table Tentative Agreement was ratified by our membership November 28th at our Ratification meeting. I am unable to post the entire document until it is ratified across the province. I should be able to post it here on December 5th (since December 4th is the date our Central Bargaining Team agreed to ratify by).

In the meantime I have sent the document out to anyone who has supplied us with their home email. If you would like to get on our email list, please send your personal email to moirabellcupe@gmail.com

Thank you all again for your solidarity during the weeks of Work to Rule. Our Central Bargaining Team has stated over and over again how critically important the work to rule was in achieving the agreement that we ratified. Please remember how important the work you do every day is. Be proud of the difference you make in our system.

In terms of Local Bargaining – our Local Bargaining team has had two days at the table with our employer with another 3 days planned in December. Should the Central Table Agreement ratify across the province it will not come into place for our Local until our Local bargaining is finished and ratified by our membership. We still have a ways to go but we are well on our way. We will do our very best to achieve a fair Local agreement.

Please take good care and remember to work safely!!!
